Ok, as Dash requested, a nice update of how I (And Torben) completely waste my (our) time

Before I start I would like to say that everyone I am with in WoW are casual gamers and raiders, we are not the best by any means but we do what we can and enjoy it, so no flaming on how far behind we are etc as it isn't big nor clever.

I am in a guild called Rising Shadow on Terenas (EU) server in an alliance. The Guild is currently restricted to who it allows in as we have just drawn in another guild and are pretty full. We are in an alliance with 4 other Guilds (The Old Gitz, Broken Drum, Dark Conglomerate and The Lost Vikings), and have many a raid night. Most of those who are playing have been since beta.

I am a lvl 80 Huntard (Survival Spec) and a lvl 80 Paladin (Holy) and various other alts. All horde.

Monday: Currently either Ulduar 10 day 3 or Naxx for Alts and Newbs.
Tuesday: Alliance 25 man Day 1 (Currently Ulduar)
Wednesday: Nothing (my day off )
Thursday: Day 1 Ulduar 10 man
Friday: Alliance 25 man Day 2
Saturday: Naxx, OS, EoE, VoA
Sunday: Day 2 Ulduar 10 man

In Rising Shadow we have currently defeated the following in Ulduar 10:
Flame Leviatian (with and without Towers)
Ignis the Furnace Master
Razorscale (with achievements)
XT-002 Deconstructor (with achievements)
Assembly of Iron
Kologarn (with achivements)

I PvP a lot. Mainly BGs though I have a 2v2 (The Cake is a Lie) and 3v3 (Why the Hell Not) team set up and we occasionally eat alliance faces. In the previous PvP season we got enough points to kit ourselves out in some decent PvP but we are in no way a serious pvp team.

Anyway. That is what I have been doing

Cool! I dont play wow so i dont know what those achievements are, but im glad you shared them!

Do you guys have a forum to communicate through? If not im sure we can sort something out here in TO... but that would mean your wow guild to come into the community. Would be fun from my perspective to see new faces in here and perhaps have them "U"s in TS registered and registered/presented here in the forums

..Also it would give me and the merry men of TOTAL COVERAGE (stay tuned for what this is!) something more to focus on.

I would think it would be nice if your wow crew would use these forums too, since there are alot of unknown names in the to ts. Like to see the activity, but why seclude two groups when both use the same ts server?
Maybe people would play other games too than just use the TS if we & they know who the other one are.

Draig is RS's Guild Leader and pulls raid members into the channel

I will ask, but already we use 2 forums and 1 raid planner. I will let it be known that any gamers out there are welcome here Though I did get the go ahead to use TS and also donated If you don't want us there I will have to buy our own TS, which would be a shame as I enjoy catching up with a lot of people.

Thanks for posting this it looks good.

If you want to get your lot involved with us a bit more as Prox and myself have been suggesting then I can easily create you an account for posting this and other similar stuff on our front page (see Prox's latest 'Total Coverage' post for example). You could put screenshots and you tube vids and all into it and do as many as you like with your own seperate section link on the navigation bar.

If you are up for this kind of free advertising then would it be OK if we have a list of all your members XFire/Steam name/forum name and if they do not have any one of these three could you politely 'encourage' them to have it (most do already I think). I'm not asking that your guild actually do anything for the good of TO as such at this point other than you all get a little bit more cosy with us. Since we share a TS server, why not share details and get everyone to add each other on Steam/Xfire as well as adding everyone to the TO members list (being a forum member puts you on that list even if you never post).

In summary, if you like our idea of getting more involved without actually doing much can you all...

And justa n update, we managed to down the new Onyxia (10 man) in Alts and undergeared. Was win!

As an update. We have finally faced Yogg-Saron. Nice chap. Stayed for tea then left pretty sharpish. We have yet to down this final beast. fingers crossed though for sometime soon.

We also have faced ToC 10 man and got to the twins. The pvp match in the middle was awesome and a nice change from the norm. We had a Disco Priest, Pala Healer, Ret Pala, Moonkin, Rogue and Mage. They all fell over with a big enough push.

We can now complete ToC 10 man in 1hr 44 mins and are readying ourselves for ToGC 10 (Heroic mode)

Few days later.... We 9 manned ToC 10 as a Priest Healer had to drop out. I was healing that night. It wasn't pretty my end. There was swearing.

Putricide is possibly the hardest boss except for Lich King. No dedicated 10 man guild (means no one runs or is geared in heroic/25 man/25man heroic gear) on our server has done him yet I don't think.

Our guild is currently ranked number 1 on 10 man progression as we downed the Blood Queen. And tbh, although she is a tricky fight, once you got into the swing of it she was alright. She made raiding fun.

Torben runs the progression raids, and we took a break from smacking the vampires about to give him a go again. He is not pleasant.

You make it sound like it's me that gets smacked around and is unpleasant.

To answer Eggy, until the recent rebalancing Rotface (who was WAY out-tuned for a 10 man group with no 25's gear) really came down to complete, total RNG for us. At the latter stage of the fight, around the ~4:20 minute mark the small oozes would be spawning faster than could conceivably be controlled. When we eventually did down him, it was after a long night of wipes (preceded by many other long nights of wipes) and was basically just a matter of luck that from ~3:50 onwards we never had a healer infected with Mutating Infection. Even so, the last 1% or so was done by me, hiding in my bubble and letting DoTs tick out, and was so close as doesn't even bear thinking about to a wipe. Blood Princes and Lana'thel were by no means easy fights, but they also weren't utterly random and once we got the tactics solid we were able to down them assuming good execution, just like any proper raid fight. Now that Rotface has been fixed we can down him with relative ease, all those nights of learning how to execute the perfect fight finally paying off like they should. Putricide is definitely harder than Lana'thel, though. Lana'thel is just a raw, brutal numbers check with a good DPS requirement and massive constant raid damage straining your healers, Putricide on the other hand requires brains.

Hmm Thanks. We killed rotface before the rebalance and have managed a couple of kills since (also with the new 5% buff). Last raid we decided to go give putricide a go for the first time ever and I was wondering whether that was a good idea. After what youve both posted I think we should stick with putri and then move onto the other 2.

Yeah we did him before the rebalance though I think Torben lost his sanity for a few weeks afterwards.

Well we downed putricide on our 5th attempt last night, much to everyones suprise. I think the 5% buff makes a big difference. Hope you had a similar succes story.

We then went to try the blood council and since none of us had a clue it was a bit messy .

Our next target is 7 bosses in 1 raid on thursday. Thats 1 boss plus trash every 20 mins. hmmm....

Putricide went down tonight. He was.... fun. I think by the end of it we ot so good at moving it, it just came more naturally.

We then poked the healy dragon, mainly cause it looked fun and there was a mini boss before her who dropped an eof. She was fun, so I am looking forwards to healing that one.

We normally do 5-6 on a thursday night, so cramming one more in should be fine for you Good luck on it!
