Robert Bowling at Infinity Ward has said today to the world, that the PC version of the game will have dedicated servers. Instead of allowing players to choose which lobby they want, depending on there personal preferences i.e a game type that allows faster ranking or small game for friends to play.
He stated that a new matchmaking service that eschews player-run dedicated servers in favor of a more structured and streamlined multiplayer experience. Many people are outraged at this decision and have created a online petition and now has over 128,000 signatures and climbing fast. He also sates that this option will help new players who do not understand how to use the player-run server system in place in other games. (Personally I have never had a problem and even people I know who do not play MP games on the PC can understand it very quickly)
On the plus side he said that the PC version, has the most features in and they have spent the most time creating this version and that it will use the Steam anti-cheat system similar to TF2 and L4D as opposed to the bug ridden Punkbuster.

It sounds as though finding a server will be a lot like in Left 4 Dead. AS long as you can still find friends games it won’t be a total disaster and dedicated servers is a lot better than having only player run servers.
